Hey there music lovers! I miss you, it’s been a while, a big thank you to the people who showed some support with our band Decasia, it is something that I really appreciate, it means a lot for us, so thank you! I told you that next time I’ll be giving you sweet sweet music, so here am I introducing you your next lullaby counter : Imaad Wasif !

Today there’s no doom on the menu, I don’t know if I even can call it stoner but it definitely got this psychedelic note to his music that I just love ! I can’t tell you how I felt in love with his music, it just caught me. But please press the play button and let the magic begins! 🙂

It’s a trap ! Ahaha got you ! Can you hear it ? It’s pure magic, this guy manage to come up with so much originality doing classic rock, he knows his classic, it’s for sure, his guitar sounds are just perfection. He is a very mature artist who knows exactly where he’s leading to ! There’s some perfection into his fragility. The very first 10 minutes of “The Voidist” are very catchy, great riffs, very good lyrics which reminds me of the early Kings of Leon materials mixed with Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young marvelous talents! Those amazing ten minutes are the gates which leads to his inner world, he’s inner mind. We’re now swallowed by his universe, beautiful acoustic songs, with very crunchy guitar breaks. Led Zeppelin lovers you have to check his songs! The Voidist is full of amazing lyrical songs where every notes got its own purpose and reasons to be.

Listening to his music is like getting to know him a bit better every time a song is over. I can picture a very clear shy human being, true and honest guy who’s actually questioning himself, each songs evolves while the vocals are very present, which is very unique when you think that most of the stoner classic put the vocals a bit besides everything! Here it’s a very important part of it. While acoustic guitars are slowly melting with all the great arrangements he added, Imaad is a multi-influenced artists with an enormous feeling to share his emotions throughout his music. And he got so many things to tell you, even to ask you! Besides being a very talented songwriter, Imaad managed to create his very own universe and you’re feeling almost honored to be able to get as close as this to him.

So this album is a very personal piece, you’ll immediately feel touched because he is speaking directly to you. It is a true journey through which you’ll learn about himself, yourself and the whole world, it’s as intense that it is soft and sweet. In my opinion Imaad is the only guy who can get closer to what I think Colour Haze is looking for. A true and honest music, which really speaks to you, personally, without making generalities. It was the first time for a long long time I felt that close to something I was listening to, it directly reminded me the first time I listened to Ataxia full albums. There’s something beautifully scary about it, it is just very touching. Caring soft part that we’ll take you higher and higher without even evolving into a massive and heavily part sometimes. Imaad knows what a song needs. As Stefan, he’s putting oriental vibes to his already fully-mastered guitaristic skills to be able to come up with great and catchy psych riffs!

So I hope you understood his world, I cannot speak for the ones who’d rather listen, it is music for the awakening quiet soul of yours. His discovery was like an opened window for me, I realized that I maybe left somethings on the road, stoner rock is a thing, a huge part of my life now, but nothing can speak to you better than a sweet voice that whispers in your ears. His music will elevates your mind while lyrics will speak to your inner soul. And it’s something I really miss in stoner rock, a great vocalist, so here it is, Imaad Wasif!
