Surfing Jupiter Gaseous Soil under an Acid Rain...
How is the sound ?
Hailing from Portland, Mad Man Sugar is a very pleasant solo project melting a lot of different styles : Psychedelic, Stoner, Blues, Doom, everything we all love !
It’s a very particular experience, you won’t hear that kind of sound everywhere and that’s why I choose to show it to you today. And fuck this guy is apparently alone doing all this awesome shit ! The whole thing has a huge trippy, drug-infused feeling floating around your head like a thick purple hazy smoke… Stoned vocals with lots of reverb, crazy melodies and double guitar solos, but also sweet lysergic chords, smoke a big one and enjoy the trip !
Also the fuzz is so greasy, so dirty, as much on the guitar as on the bass, I love it ! The riffs are sometimes between Stoner and Doom, heavy as fuck to slowly headbang, in the end I even feel a little late 60’s, 70’s underground Heavy Blues Rock style, yeah it’s simply excellent !

In what situation you should listen to this band ?
Imagine you are surfing on Jupiter gaseous soil, a huge acid rain is falling on you, but you are miraculously protected by a magical force that forms a psychic dome of protection around you. You are safe, you can enjoy the sound and continue surfing at light speed around the most gigantic planet in the solar system…
