Hey my dear friends, it’s been a while again!..

Now that the first ray of the new rising sun is slowly showing up we can all finally say that summer is almost here! That means long and soft legs, dresses and skirts for most of you, and it means open-air music, festivals, camping and chilling time for others! Don’t choose your side when you can choose both!

Let’s go to the shore, by the beach enjoying the place where the sky ends! This is the time to explore, relax and appreciate life as its simpliest and purest form, its immensity. Today let me introduce you a great band from Greece called : Naxatras

Naxatras is part of those bands which take its inspiration from the roots of music, where it all started. Like bands like Goat or Master Musicians of Bukkake, Naxatras is born with this will to bring (back?) psychedelic music to his foundation, primary beats, spirits incantations and shamanic vibes! Listening to their first LP is something that you’ll have to experiment. There is something liberating about their songs, while listening I had the feeling that they are in great control of what they’re playing, so easily in control that they can just let the music roll without pushing it roughly to another place, notes are floating, showing the flow and your soul will just follow it! Trance music?

It’s hard not to think about bands like Papir or the mighty Causa Sui when you hear them play! The fact that they record their LP entirely with an analogic equipment is the main reason of their bright clear sound, despites the fact that they totally mastered their songs. Each instrument is speaking to the other ones without overshadowing them. In this kind of music where jams are the foundation of songs, it clearly needs a strong rhythmic section. And of course Naxatras got its own powerful one! The bass is strong and heavy while the drums is gently caressing the rhythm, adding a strong floating sensation to the main structure!

The more you listen, the more you’ll be drowned in their universe, their LP is part of those that you have to consider as one long trip! As Earth before, Naxatras is showing you the way by always keeping the same kind of slow tempo, don’t get me wrong, here nothing is repetitive, it’ll just get yourself on the path! It’s kind of tiredness that creates this typical floating sensation that lots of you are seeking! With an amazing mix of middle east influence, blues and psychedelic, those three guys from Greece managed to create their own universe of sound that soon will be the soundtrack of your sunny days to come. Song like Waves could easily be the type of song that you’ll want to hear on the grass on a bright and sunny day!

Having this spiritual way of playing is a strong and powerful weapon to create effective and trippy songs. OM definitely knows that, and Naxatras definitely want your full body to dance in a trance. Nothing here will crush your soul like Al’s bassline but everything here will elevate you! Naxatras is a great combination of musicians with a clear universe in mind they want to offer you, the best is still to come… They are one of those bands that could totally fit to DunaJam, Naxatras is tripping, softly strong, got this jazzy feeling to it, that make their songs beautiful and touching. In this one hour trip you will travel anywhere you want if you decide to take Naxatras as the pilot of your flight! You can trust them, remove your seatbelt and enjoy the trip!
