Watch Out for The Riff Fist !
How is the sound ?
Riff Fist ! What a cool band name huh ? Even their artworks look so nice ! This trio coming from Melbourne, Australia really have a sense of doing things right.
Yep, I like when bands take the time to build a strong identity, both musically and visually. In the end this is what makes a difference when you are “competing” against the 100’s of great bands also trying to stand out from the crowd… I think every band should really try to have their own atmosphere, their own history, even if it’s full of shit, weird, funny stuff 🙂
So back to Riff Fist, they clearly have hot sand flowing in their veins ! They just released this thunderous 4-tracks EP and will play at the end of the month @ DesertFest Berlin. Not really inventing anything, it’s just pure Desert Rock sound, full of heavy fuzzy riffs going straight to your face haha 😀
Similarly to Palm Desert, they perfectly combine a burning groove with some pleasant trippy parts you’d hear during those nights alone in the wild desert…
Catch them at DesertFest if you can ! Or support them and buy their music on Bandcamp, it’s as a “Name Your Price“, so no excuses, or you’ll really get a painful “Riff Fist” !
