Heaviness & Epicness Riffage...

Let’s start this Polish Week by the almighty WEEDPECKER ! These guys from Warszawa released one of the best Psychedelic Stoner/Doom album of 2013 with their selftitled LP. Blending perfectly the right dose of heaviness, epicness and psychedelic sounds, if you haven’t heard it, then press the goddamn play button 🙂

I stopped counting the number of times I listened to this album, I love it on every point ! I think it’s because they managed to craft 6 songs of intense heaviness while still having wonderful hazy moments… They found THE ideal sweet spot between a Heavy Psychedelic Jam band like Earthless and a massive doomy sound with killer riffs like Sleep or Elder.

What else can I say ? Oh Yeah I know 😉 It’s good to sing the praises of the music, but let’s not forget the image of a band. I think it’s something very important and can make you like or hate a band even before hearing it ! And Weedpecker truly shines here ! That cover is just so badass, a naked chick smoking her joint in the middle of a field of weed, how can you not like it and say to yourself “Wow this band must slay ! I’ll give it a try !“.
