How is the sound ?
Germany is for sure a fertile land in the Stoner Rock community and particularly in the Psychedelic zone. With bands like My Sleeping Karma, Kadavar, Samsara Blues Experiement, Rotor and the kings of Colour Haze to name a few. Those last one even created their own label Elektrohasch Records and signed many cool bands, the mighty Kozmik Artifactz and their mighty shop (never go there, you’ll become instantly poor because of the huge quantity of vinyls & cds, a goldmine for Europeans :D), and the cool newcomer Pink Tank Records who released for example the excellent ZQKMGDZ, reviewed here. And I’m not even talking about 2 of the best European festivals : Freak Valley Festival & Desertfest Berlin !
So yeah, if I did this introduction, today’s band isn’t from Spain, but well and truly from Hanover in Germany. Wiredmind is a very cool band I found on Bandcamp, they just released March 11th their first LP, and it’s a beautiful gem of Psychedelic Stoner Rock, following very closely their peers from Germany, and of course Colour Haze comes first in mind.
With 4 songs including 2 tracks above the 10 minutes mark, they crafted mind blowing heavy psychedelic jams. Sometimes as sweet as a candy, and sometimes as meaty as a big fat doublecheese, massively trickling due to the heavy fuzz and awesome hazy solos !
It’s time to get into mindstate and fly through the dreamscape…
Why is this band worth listening ?
