Red Sun Atacama Debut Album “Licancabur” Out on More Fuzz Records June 29th

Red Sun Atacama is a smoking hot trio of fuzzheads based in Paris (FR). Formed in 2015, they spent three years working hard on the road, playing numerous shows in France, Belgium and Spain. During that time preaching their high-octane sound, the band shared the stage with acts such as Mars Red Sky, Steak, Glowsun, Black Rainbows and Planet of Zeus.

The French power trio's soundscape is a tight combination of the organic warmth and peyote induced psychedelia coming straight from old school Desert-Rock, brilliantly mixed with modern Stoner-Rock's incendiary rumble and thickness, and an always latent aggressive punk vibe 

This debut album, also the band's first "real" release, will consist of brand new recordings of old demo tracks as well as completely new killer material. Licancabur is a sacred volcano where the Atacameño , the indigenous people of the Atacama Desert, used to carry out religious ceremonies to worship their sun god Inti . Kind of an equivalent of the Olympus for the Greeks, except this mountain was breathing fire, molten lava and smoke .
