In front of an ecstatic crowd, the household name of 1000mods (along with Naxatras) gave the performance of their lifetime. The place was packed with almost 3000 people experiencing an over three-hour concert full of fuzz and energy !

First things first, Naxatras delivered a performance based on their two records up to date balancing their set between the energetic tempo of the first and the Pink Floyd-ish psychedelia of the second. Hats off to the excellent players of this band and especially Costas with his fast drumming skills!
Naxatras’s latest album titled “II” was featured in my top 10 albums of 2016 at number n°9 spot.

My 2016 most fuzziest album of them all, “Repeated Exposure To…” it seems was not at number 1 by luck. 1000mods proved that they are one of the most hardworking bands in the European territory and the never fail to deliver their best efforts with honesty and passion from the 2006 “Blank Reality” EP days to their most recent LP “Repeated Exposure To…”.
I experienced a show with everything: material from all of their LP’s (+ one EP), a massive wall of sound made by big crunchy guitar riffs (courtesy of John and George), Labros sporting his Bonham afro and stirring the band’s ship with his groovy drumming accompanied by Dani’s thundering bass and singing at the top of his lungs!
Songs like “She” hurting someone, or anthems for skate maniacs like the barn-burner “Electric Carve“. Huge mosh pits were open all the time and crowd singing along left Dani speechless especially during “Vidage“. The light show was also on point and pretty elaborate.
Finally, I can surely say that we witnessed a beloved band level up and although I have seen them a few times before, that night their game was not only top notch but a bit more than that. And I do believe that from now on they will play in an constantly increasing level of maturity and growth.
P.S: It was nice to see Dani expressing his solidarity for fellow greek underground bands wearing the “Always Question Authority” tee by Vodka Juniors
