After a well-acclaimed 2nd full-length
Evil Riffs Worshipers Goya come back
with a 3-tracks EP full of Fuzzy Heaviness !
The reputation of Goya has grown over the years since their debut album "777", and it's really with "Obelisk" released last year (review here) that they made a big splash in the Stoner/Doom scene. These guys know how to create wicked & heavy tunes
So yeah, like our Mr. Haze said in his review, "Obelisk" was a magnificent & cohesive album, with a lot of variety and atmospheres. This time with "The Enemy", Goya decided to come back to a more direct sound full of anger, I'd say more "Rocky", catchier, than "Doomy". But don't get confused, Goya are still blasting a huge dose of
Suggestion for listening to Goya's "The Enemy":
During the next party you're having with some friends, if you feel things are kinda slow, or just that someone put up some shitty music, follow those steps for a guaranteed "feel-good" effect :
- 1. Roll a big joint of weed, for yourself.
- 2. Take your mobile and prepare “The Enemy”.
- 3. Cut that shitty music right in the middle of the song.
- 4. Enjoy the groans of your friends.
- 5. Put up your hood and press play.
- 6. Up the volume to its maximum.
- 7. Light up your joint & headbang.
- 8. Muhahahahaha
