"When I say don't fuck my girl I'm serious !"
As I have less time to write full reviews, and as I know a lot of people don’t take the time to read them completely (myself included) I’ll try a new form of short review, more formatted, like a “self-interview” about the record.
How is the sound ?
Definitely sounding 70’s Heavy Rock with that modern Swedish Retro Rock attitude (“modern” and “retro” in the same sentence ? WUT ?!). It’s a high-tempo rhythm with riffs and guitar solos shooting faster than your shadow ! Reminds a bit of Brutus, one of my very first love for Retro Rock, check out their first album here.
Why is this album worth listening ?
- Because they’re Swedish (this alone should make you want to listen to it !).
- But they don’t copy the “Swedish sound”, they really have their own Swedish style haha.
- “The Dream of The Fisherman’s Wife” is so badass that it will just stay for a long time in your head, particularly that first sentence “When I say don’t fuck my girl I’m serious, I’m serious !“
- Like FDJ and Harry said on Bandcamp, these guys are doing better and better
In what situation you should listen to this album ?
At your favorite Whiskey bar with all your friends and a lot of girls 🙂
Something particular to note ?
Again in”The Dream of The Fisherman’s Wife“, that guitar riff rising at 2:50 and then forming a sublime duo with the other guitar is just amazing, it gives me thrills in the spine..! And the solo that is following up is the icing one the cake !
